Registered apprenticeship programs offer structured training for skilled careers, combining on-the-job training with classroom instruction while participants earn a wage. In Massachusetts, these programs require a minimum of 2,000 hours of hands-on training and 150 hours of technical instruction to meet certification requirements in various trades.
